UNDP Libya and Tripoli University are organizing a 3-month training course for 30 Libyan university graduates and NGO workers to become the country's first civic education instructors. The programme consists in two training phases (Workshop 1: Basic concepts of democracy & governance, Workshop 2: Civic education methodologies +Training of Facilitators), homebased assignments and supervised practice period. Successful trainees will receive, at the end of the 3 month period, a certificate jointly issues by UNDP & Tripoli University of BRIDGE facilitators in civic education and will continue providing civic education classes to university undergraduates as well as NGO staff and civic education volunteers in youth organizations.
The course is facilitated by three BRIDGE facilitators from Jordan & Tunisia.
The goal of DG BRIDGE is to promote and support democracy and good governance through multi-stakeholder learning, dialogue and networking.
