BRIDGE Showcase for the Election Commission of Pakistan

The event, which took place over two days, had three main goals: to familiarize participants with the history and the outlines of the curriculum of the BRIDGE Project, to let participants experience the interactive and activity based learning methodology used in implementing the BRIDGE curriculum, and to assist participants with the development of initial plans towards customizing BRIDGE for the ECP environment.

Besides formal presentations and discussions, participants were introduced to the approach to adult learning taken during BRIDGE courses, demonstrated through several sample BRIDGE activities from different modules of the curriculum. Although the approach to these activities was unfamiliar to most, participants enthusiastically involved themselves in exercises that involved spirited debate and movement around the training venue. They also conducted initial planning activities during which they explored ways in which the BRIDGE curriculum could be customized for Pakistani conditions.
