Melbourne Train the Facilitator Course

This TTF was seen as important for a number of reasons. Firstly, the Australian Electoral Commission’s stocks of BRIDGE facilitators have been reduced with the recent retirement or departure of a number of officers. Secondly, countries such as Nepal, Bhutan and Indonesia are considering the implementation of BRIDG and others such as East Timor and Afghanistan saw it as an opportunity to expand their already substantial groups of active facilitators.

The standard of the participants was generally excellent and all of the facilitators feel that there are many who will make outstanding BRIDGE facilitators. The challenge will now be to create opportunities for the participants to complete their accreditation with fieldwork as soon as possible.
