BRIDGE Workshop - AEC Victoria

Recently the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) organised a BRIDGE (Introduction) workshop for new staff in their Victorian State Office.

There were also several staff members from the Victorian Electoral Commission and three representatives from UNDP Jakarta.

Ross Attrill, Yvonne Goudie and David Zeplin facilitated the event with David gaining his accredited as a workshop facilitator.  Congratulations David!

An observation by one of the participants:

The BRIDGE Introductory course that I attended recently was an eye-opener to how the breadth of circumstances around the world affects the best fit for democratic and electoral processes in different regions. A further highlight was the opportunity to get to know people from other organisations, to share ideas and learn from each other. The course was well-organised, with plenty of variety in the strategies used to present the various modules and actively involve participants. I only recently became aware of BRIDGE, but would love to be involved again in future and am recommending it to others at the VEC.

Ruth Coulson Training and Recruitment Coordinator, Victorian Electoral Commission
