First BRIDGE TtF For Sudan’s NEC
13 June 2013
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) have organized the first BRIDGE TtF workshop for Sudan’s National Elections Commission (NEC) in May 2013. This workshop is part of the EU funded project: “implementing a BRIDGE strategy and training on leadership and conflict management skills for electoral administration (LEAD) in Sudan”. Twenty-three participants from NEC’s different departments attended this workshop that took place from May 12 to 23, 2013 in Khartoum, 6 of them were women.
Four BRIDGE facilitators participated in the preparation and delivery of this TtF:
1. Samia Mahgoub (Independent BRIDGE accrediting facilitator)
2. Reem Ersheid (Independent BRIDGE workshop facilitator)
3. Ossama Kamel (Independent BRIDGE expert facilitator)
4. Mohamed Jaweesh (NEC BRIDGE workshop facilitator)
This TtF comes within a comprehensive project aiming at developing the capacities of NEC staff and other elections stakeholders. Several BRIDGE modules will be delivered over the coming months with participation of NEC staff from the headquarters in Khartoum and different states. All TtF participants worked hard in preparing and delivering their sessions. They all earned their semi-accreditation and we look forward to having new BRIDGE facilitators from Sudan’s NEC.
