Empowering Change Agents: Train the Facilitator for Sustainable Institution Building

14 February - 24 February

Liberia

This Train the Facilitator (TtF) program is designed for the National Election Commission (NEC) Liberia’s Board of Commissioners, Section Directors, and key stakeholders. The TtF initiative aims to extend the implementation of the NEC BRIDGE Rollout Plan, the Implementation Strategy, and the ongoing efforts to foster Institutional Excellence. In 2023, the NEC organized exemplary elections marked by efficient Biometric Voter Registration, Voter Role Audit, and highly praised Presidential and Legislative Elections and Presidential Runoff. Despite the widespread concerns, the elections transpired in a peaceful atmosphere, with candidates expressing trust in the NEC’s work. The immediate concession of one presidential candidate and the establishment of a transition committee underscored the smooth transfer of power. Throughout, the NEC maintained credibility and integrity through transparent processes and continuous coordination with relevant stakeholders. Positive Lessons Learned are being collected and documented, and NEC key staff eagerly anticipate participating in the TtF to further implement the BRIDGE framework in the pursuit and Building of Institutional Excellence in Elections.
