Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) Train the Facilitator (TtF)

18 August - 29 August

South Africa

The Independent Electoral Commission (EC) of South Africa is rolling out its capacity development roadmap to realign institutional focus on human capital and expertise for long-term impact and delivery to stakeholders. To embark on this roadmap the IEC will commence with four sets of Train the Facilitator courses for staff from the nine provinces and national staff from 18 August to 31 October 2025. The training will assist participants’ knowledge to plan, organise customise and deliver BRIDGE workshops representing stipulated values and meeting required standards. The EC is committed to achieving its strategic priorities and initiatives that will enable the institution to deliver on its mandate. Capacity development of staff is fundamental to this goal.

Following the TtF workshops the three-foundation modular training (Building institutional excellence, Strategic Planning, Introduction to electoral administration) will commence whereby the successful TtF participants will be mentored and coached to be workshop facilitators during the Modular workshops, giving them an opportunity to accumulate adequate hours required to progress on the BRIDGE ladder.
