BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

Introduction to Electoral Administration

The League of Arab States, in partnership with the UNDP, the Electoral Assistance Division (EAD), and the Jordanian EMB will implement a five-day BRIDGE workshop on “Introduction to Electoral Administration” in Cairo, Egypt, between 7 – 11 September 2025. Participants are from the League of Arab States observers and UNDP staff.

The facilitation team will be formed of six BRIDGE facilitators from the League of Arab States, the UNDP, and the Election Management Body of Jordan, two of whom are women.

The workshop aims at raising awareness regarding the different phases of the electoral cycle, the international obligations for credible elections, identifying different electoral systems, as well as understanding the development and importance of international elections observation, the role of observers, and the code of conduct for international observers.
