Contestants and EDR Workshop For the Iraqi Elections Commission (IHEC)

The first workshop in a series of two trainings on Contestants and EDR was held in Erbil – Iraq from May 10 – 14, 2015. IFES organized the workshop in coordination with IHEQ and was funded by USAID. Twenty-five participants from the different IHEC departments participated in the 5-day training course – four of them were women. All of the participants were exposed to BRIDGE for the first time in this workshop.

The facilitation team consisted of Ossama Kamel, Ahmed Abdallah Noori, Nizam Swadi, Ahmed Hassan and Haydar Al Zaidy (the last four are IHEC BRIDGE facilitators). Ahmed Hassan and Haydar Al Zaidy obtained their accreditation to become BRIDGE workshop facilitators.
