This BRIDGE modular training workshop on election observation has been designed to be a capacity-building platform to enhance the contribution of U.S. C.I.A. members to electoral processes, peacebuilding and democratic governance in West Africa and elsewhere on the continent. It provided beneficiaries with the tools and skills needed to help improve the integrity and credibility of elections and to reduce the risk of post-election violence.
This module on election observation provided an overview of the different approaches to organising election observation missions, the roles and responsibilities of observers and the practical skills or knowledge needed for election observation.
