Jordanian EMB is conducting a TtF “Train the Facilitator”

From May 18 to 29, 2025, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in cooperation with UN Women and the League of Arab States and with support from the UNDP Regional Electoral Support Project for the Arab States, organized a BRIDGE Train the Facilitator (TtF) workshop in Amman, Jordan, with 20 participants from the Commission and its partners.

This workshop aimed to enhance the participants’ capacities in facilitation and expand the pool of accredited BRIDGE facilitators, which will be as an asset to the commission in spreading electoral awareness across the Kingdom’s governorates during all stages of the electoral cycle.

The workshop focused particularly on supporting and building the capacity of women, with women representing 80% of the participants and 50% of the facilitation team which comprises:

Six BRIDGE facilitators participated in the preparation and delivery of this TtF: 

  1. Ahmed Amin – LAS BRIDGE Accrediting Facilitator, Iraq.
  2. Samar Tarawneh – IEC Accrediting Facilitator, Jordan.
  3. Mais Alatiat– UNDP BRIDGE Workshop Facilitator, Jordan
  4. Hiba Merheb – LAS BRIDGE Workshop Facilitator, Lebanon.
  5. Ali Ahmad Al Jawamees – IEC BRIDGE Workshop Facilitator, Jordan.
  6. Qusai Tayseer Al AmAYRIH – UNDP TtF Complete, Jordan.      

The workshop sought to enhance participants’ facilitation skills through intensive practical training that provided them with opportunities to apply their skills in an interactive environment. The workshop focused on developing presentation and group work skills, as well as improving their ability to prepare and implement BRIDGE sessions efficiently. The workshop also provided participants with frequent opportunities to receive feedback and evaluate their performance, which contributed to raising awareness of their strengths and areas for improvement.

The workshop achieved tangible success, reflected in the active engagement and remarkable commitment of all participants, who demonstrated enthusiasm and seriousness throughout the training period. Furthermore, the positive and interactive learning environment contributed to developing trust and cooperation among participants, which positively impacted the quality of performance and contributed to achieving the workshop’s objectives with efficiency and clarity. By the end of the workshop, participants earned their TtF Complete accreditation.
