Legal framework for Pakistan’s ECP ahead of 2018 General Elections

UNDP jointly with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) held a BRIDGE training workshop on Legal Framework from 16 – 20 October, 2017 in Islamabad – Pakistan. The workshop focused on the new elections act passed by parliament on October 02, 2017 and the draft ECP rules. The importance of this workshop lies in its timing before the 2018 general elections when the new elections act of 2017 would be applied for the first time. This workshop falls within the 7th batch of the Election Management Course delivered to ECP staff. 29 participants from Pakistan’s four provinces; Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Baluchistan participated in the workshop.
