Media and Elections Workshop

Three-day BRIDGE workshop on “Media and Election” was conducted from 22-24 February, 2023 for media personnel under the platform of UNDP project (Strengthening Electoral and Legislative Processes), funded by Government of Japan. A total 26 participants (four women, twenty two men) attended the training. This interactive professional development module provides participants to learn the role of media in the electoral processes and demonstrate their knowledge and skills by adopting international best practices.

Interactive methods were adopted to deliver training sessions. Most of the participants found the workshop was beneficial and valuable in terms of the content, trainers’ skills and knowledge, and workshop objectives were completely achieved. The participants expressed their views that the knowledge they gained from the workshop is useful for their day to day work regarding electoral reporting.
