BRIDGE TtF Workshop for the Jordan, Libya EMBs, LAS and UNDP staff

The UNEAD and the UNDP Regional Electoral Support Project for the Arab States in cooperation with the League of Arab States have organized a BRIDGE Train the Facilitator (TtF) workshop in Cairo – Egypt, from 23rd of July to 3rd august 2023.

The League of Arab States organized the workshop with the aim of building the capacities of its staff and increasing the size of its BRIDGE Facilitators team that has been used in the past few years to provide trainings to the LAS observers as well as some of the Arab EMBs staff.

Twenty participants attended the workshop representing 11 different Arab countries from: Jordan – Bahrain- Algeria- Saudi Arabia – Sudan – Iraq – Kuwait – Lebanon – Libya – Palestine – Egypt.

The participants represented the Jordanian and the Libyan EMBs, LAS and UNDP staff, where 10 participants out of 20 were females.

 Five BRIDGE facilitators participated in the preparation and delivery of this TtF: 

1.   Ahmed Amin – LAS BRIDGE Accrediting Facilitator, Iraq.

2.   Mahmoud el Shahat – LAS BRIDGE Workshop Facilitator, Egypt

3.   Mais Al-Atiat– UNDP BRIDGE Workshop Facilitator, Jordan

4.   Rana Abou Amra – LAS BRIDGE Workshop Facilitator, Palestine.

5.   Samiha Moubarak – LAS BRIDGE Workshop Facilitator, Egypt.      

For two weeks, participants were dedicated to prepare and deliver as pairs presentations related to the electoral process, where they exchanged knowledge and experiences based on their various electoral backgrounds, as they worked hardly to fulfil their tasks. By the end of the workshop, participants earned their TtF Complete accreditation.
