BRIDGE Modular Training on voter information,, polling day results management and election observation
15 January - 26 January
Senegal
The ECOWAS Peace and Security Architecture and Operations (EPSAO) project will support the ECOWAS Electoral Assistance Division (ECOWAS-EAD) in organising a 10-day BRIDGE training course (2 batches of 5 days each) on voter information and education for Election Management Bodies (EMBs), security forces, civil society organisations (CSOs) and political parties. This training module will also enable stakeholders to acquire conventional strategies for election observation, results management and conflict prevention in order to promote electoral accountability and transparency. By building the capacity of these targeted stakeholders to conduct effective counter-violent extremism programmes, mitigate electoral conflicts and observe elections, the EPSAO project aims to help support the ECOWAS Commission in strengthening a stronger and sustainable democratic system in Senegal. The EPSAO project is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH).
