IFES Nigeria is conducting a three-day BRIDGE Professional Development Training for Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) to enhance its capacity to conduct Local Government Elections in Akwa Ibom State. The workshop is scheduled to hold in Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom from 15 – 17 June 2023, as part of technical assistance from the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), with funding from USAID and FCDO. The training is intended to expose AKISIEC staff to basic aspects of electoral administration to enhance their knowledge of the principles and management techniques that are fundamental to effective electoral practice. The workshop participants include newly appointed commission members and senior staff of AKISIEC.
