Developing the next generation of electoral learning leaders
The BRIDGE Train the Facilitator (TtF) course offers an intensive and transformative learning experience for electoral practitioners, educators, governance specialists and capacity development professionals committed to strengthening democratic processes through education and professional excellence.
As a flagship component of the BRIDGE Programme, the TtF equips participants with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to facilitate high-quality BRIDGE workshops and learning events. Through a dynamic combination of experiential learning, facilitated practice, peer feedback and reflective exercises, participants will explore the principles of adult learning and develop the competencies necessary to create engaging, inclusive and impactful learning environments.
The course places particular emphasis on learner-centred facilitation, participatory methodologies, effective communication, group process management and the delivery of interactive BRIDGE activities. Participants will strengthen their capacity to guide learning processes that encourage critical thinking, knowledge sharing and meaningful professional dialogue among electoral stakeholders.
Beyond developing individual facilitation skills, the programme contributes to the broader objective of building sustainable national and regional capacity for electoral education. By preparing future BRIDGE facilitators, the course supports the growth of a professional community dedicated to promoting electoral integrity, institutional resilience and continuous learning within election management bodies, academia, civil society and governance institutions.
Hosted by the University of Lomé, this course provides a unique platform for collaboration, professional networking and the exchange of experiences among practitioners who share a common commitment to advancing democratic governance and electoral excellence.
