BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

POLITICAL PARTIES AND CANDIDATES FINANCING

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Lesotho is implementing a five-day BRIDGE modular workshop, 22-26 June 2026, on Political Parties and Candidates funding. This initiative is through the support of European Union (EU) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) under the Inclusive Lesotho Election Cycle Support. This workshop is specifically intended for National Executive Committees of Political Parties, Civil Society Organisations, Ministry of Finance and IEC officials. This workshop will equip participants with skills and knowledge to effectively and efficiently manage political party and campaign funding, to enhance compliance with government regulations in the administration of political party and campaign finances.

The workshop aims to:

1.Equip participants with knowledge and skills of accountability on given funding.

2. Acquaint participants with rules and regulations of financial management.

3. Strengthen compliance on political party and campaign funding.
