BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

Customized Introduction to Electoral Administration – Amman

The Independent Election Commission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in partnership with UN Women and the League of Arab States, will organize a BRIDGE workshop titled “Introduction to Electoral Administration” from 8 to 12 February 2026 in Amman.

The workshop will bring together 22 young participants (50% women and 50% men). All participants are actively engaged with the Independent Election Commission in Jordan in delivering electoral awareness and civic education programs targeting university students and local communities across the Kingdom.

The workshop aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of the various stages of the electoral cycle, enhance knowledge of international standards and obligations for credible elections, and introduce different electoral systems. It will also focus on the importance of women’s and youth participation in electoral processes and explore the impact of social media, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity on elections.

In addition, the workshop will include interactive practical sessions on designing effective awareness campaigns to promote women’s participation and empowerment across different groups in electoral processes and political life, contributing to greater inclusiveness, equal opportunities, and more meaningful political participation.
