Customized Multi-Module Workshop for key Stakeholders – Maputo
2 March - 5 March
Mozambique
The Technical Commission for Inclusive Dialogue (COTE), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mozambique, plans to hold an customized BRIDGE workshop from 2 to 5 March 2026 in Maputo. This workshop will integrate four modules: Introduction to Electoral Administration, Legal Framework and Reform, Electoral Dispute Resolution, and Electoral Systems.
Since 2025, following the 2024 general elections, Mozambique has been engaged in a reform process guided by the Inclusive National Dialogue. Within this process, the Technical Commission plays a central role in identifying areas of consensus and formulating technical proposals across governance, electoral management, justice, fiscal policy, and other key sectors.
The workshop aims to strengthen the technical and institutional capacities of electoral stakeholders and related actors, fostering alignment with international standards and reinforcing trust among institutions.
Designed to respond to Mozambique’s current reform needs, the workshop will bring together political parties, electoral management bodies, justice sector institutions, and civil society organizations. The training will apply BRIDGE participatory learning methodologies, including practical exercises, simulations, case studies, critical reflection, and consensus‑building. Sessions will also feature presentations by subject‑matter experts, with a strong emphasis on the Mozambican and regional context.
