BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

Gender & Disability Workshop

Liberia

A Bridge Workshop on Gender Equality and Disability Rights for staff of the National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia is planned to be delivered in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. The workshop is designed to deliver on two modules while rolling out the NEC Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) policy. The policy aims to mainstream gender and consider social inclusion in all processes of the Commission during pre, actual and post-election periods. The workshop is co-sponsored by the UN women and the NEC. The workshop will be held from 7 April to 9 April 2026 in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia.

The workshop will cater to 25 participants, all staff of the Commission comprising of field staff (Elections Magistrates, their Assistants and Logisticians) and few staff from the NEC Headquarters. The facilitators are all nationals and staff of the NEC. This is an opportunity to enhance the capacity of national staff as the Commission intends to roll out series of Bridge activities in readiness for the 2029 Presidential and Legislative Elections. This workshop will also be used to test the capacity of James Wallace to ascertain his growth towards an accrediting facilitator.
