BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

The Project “Empowering Women for Leadership Roles in the MENA Region” implemented by the Forum of Federations and funded by Global Affairs Canada, in collaboration with the Jordanian Independent Election Commission (IEC), the League of Arab States and the UNDP plans to conduct a BRIDGE workshop for the Jordanian Election Commission staff. The main purpose of the workshop is to provide the Jordanian EMB with the skills and knowledge necessary to improve women’s participation in the electoral process, and learn to develop key strategies to overcome barriers to the participation of women in elections focusing on the issue of violence against women in elections.
