BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

IFES and NIMD partner to conduct BRIDGE Train the Facilitator (TtF) for IEBC Kenya, NEC Somaliland and ORPP Kenya

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), in partnership with the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD), is planning to organize a regional Train the Facilitator course for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission of Kenya (IEBC), the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties of Kenya (ORPP), and the National Electoral Commission of Somaliland (NEC).

As the IEBC has recently been reconstituted and is preparing for the 2027 elections in Kenya, and the NEC is planning to conduct elections in mid-2026, this training will equip both institutions to lead their own internal training programmes and strengthen their capacity to effectively deliver their respective electoral processes.

The training will take place in Nairobi from August 25 to September 3, 2025 and will be facilitated by Accrediting Facilitator Rindai Chipfunde Vava, and Workshop Facilitators Ann Nderuti, Obaje Michael Ukeh, and Saeed Mohamed Osman.
