BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

Summary: BRIDGE Disability Rights and Gender in elections workshop will be conducted for representatives of the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz State Registration Service, Disabled Persons Organizations, Kyrgyz Academy of Education and women’s rights organizations. The workshop will aim to identify problems and find solutions to overcome barriers for persons with disabilities and women in society, considered among the most electorally and politically marginalized populations in Kyrgyzstan. The training will stress the role of Election Management Bodies and civil society in working collaboratively to address and eliminate such barriers, learning from international experience and best practices in gender mainstreaming, providing inclusive voter education, and conducting lobbying and advocacy campaigns for reform.
