Media and Elections – Strengthening Media and Electoral Integrity – Phase II

17 June - 19 June

Liberia

The National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia proposes the BRIDGE Modular Training on Media and Elections to strengthen the capacity of NEC staff and media professionals in promoting accurate, inclusive, and conflict-sensitive electoral reporting. Recognizing the critical role of the media in shaping public perception and fostering accountability, the training will address persistent challenges such as misinformation, limited understanding of electoral processes, and weak collaboration between NEC and media practitioners. The interactive workshop will enhance technical knowledge, ethical reporting standards, and media engagement skills, while providing a platform to roll out the NEC Communications Strategy, Policy and Protocol.
