NEC Liberia practicing Institutional Excellence and disseminating it to the middle managers and Magistrates
7 May - 10 May
Liberia
“If we are discussing institutional excellence, we must behave accordingly.” said the Executive Director of the National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia, while preparing the call for participants for the upcoming “Building Institutional Excellence in Elections” training for middle managers.
He instructed the HR Director to circulate the announcement to all relevant staff, inviting them to apply by submitting an application form and a motivation letter.
The Executive Director underlined that the pursuit of institutional excellence must start with leadership — beginning with his own office.
Transformation of organizational habits and corporate culture is a long-term process requiring a deliberate, phased approach. The National Elections Commission (NEC) Liberia has already laid the groundwork for institutional excellence at the senior management level. Expanding this initiative to the Magistrates, who are the NEC’s frontline representatives, is the next critical step to ensuring the organization operates efficiently and effectively throughout the entire electoral cycle. The UNDP Liberia Electoral Support Project (LESP) plays a pivotal role in supporting this expansion by introducing innovative strategies to make a measurable impact.
This activity is supported by the UNDP Liberia Electoral Support Project in collaboration with the National Elections Commission Liberia and European Partnership for Democracy, with the co-funding of the European Union, Irish Aid and the Embassy of Sweden in Liberia.
