6 September - 7 September
Moldova (Republic of)
On October 20th, Moldovan citizens will vote in presidential elections and a constitutional referendum, with a historic first allowing those living in the United States, Canada, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Sweden to vote by postal ballot. To prepare for this significant development, a BRIDGE workshop will be held on September 6-7, following the formation of the out-of-country District Electoral Council (DEC). This workshop will bring together representatives from the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the DEC responsible for out-of-country voting, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The focus of the workshop will be on external voting international best practices, practical examples, and simulation of postal voting to ensure an effective and smooth voting process for Moldovan citizens abroad.
