BRIDGE Rule 1: All BRIDGE activities must be approved by the BRIDGE Partners.  Approval is obtained through the BRIDGE Portal. Therefore, BRIDGE implementers must request approval from the BRIDGE Secretariat for BRIDGE activities as soon as they can legitimately do so.

In August 2025, a needs assessment mission, led by the Public Law Center of the University of Lomé, identified critical gaps in electoral education delivery across Africa, Europe, and the Mediterranean. The findings emphasized limited BRIDGE facilitation capacity, uneven professional development, and growing demand for standardized, high-quality training among Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) and partner organizations. In response, Public Law Center of the University of Lomé is convening a BRIDGE Train the Facilitator (TtF) workshop in Asrama, plateaux region, 30 km from Notse – Togo to build a new generation of accredited facilitators equipped to strengthen democratic institutions through effective electoral education.
