Following the 2021 general elections, NEBE conducted a comprehensive lessons-learned exercise. This highlighted the need to develop the capacity of NEBE core trainers in training techniques and facilitation skills so as to be able to enhance capacity of NEBE departments and other stakeholders on electoral issues. UN Women has previously facilitated BRIDGE workshops on Gender Equality and Elections for a range of stakeholders (including NEBE, CSOs, media, EHRC, women candidates and political parties).

Feedback from this was positive and enabling greater experience and skills in BRIDGE facilitation may enable such stakeholders to promote inclusive electoral processes through capacity development.

Including representatives of different institutions, organisations and platforms in the TtF will promote a sharing of different perspectives and facilitate development of relationships and networks amongst different electoral stakeholders.
