Voter and Civic Education – in the context of “enjoy your 45MB of internet.”

2 November - 4 November

Liberia

From the perspective of scarce electricity supply, each household runs (or not) an individual electricity generator, and internet supply is measured in MB and not in GB; the concept of Voter and Civic Education has a different connotation.

Word of mouth becomes the main generator of information sharing, and each individual must serve as a medium. Sending clear, precise messages and understanding the target groups, the Eight Steps in Voter and Civic Education Programme Development and Implementation becomes crucial vehicles for democratic participation. In Liberia, UNDP and NEC have built a network of Magistrate and CVE offices collaborating with local citizen-based organizations.

This training is dedicated to them.
