UNDP had supported the October 2022 elections through UNDP resources the project that is expiring at the end of 2023, which ends the previous electoral cycle, as well as the previous strategic plan of IEC. The UN Needs Assessment Mission conducted in May-April 2023 recommended extension of the election assistance mandate throughout the next elections Using Africa Election Fund project of UNDP Lesotho supporting a BRIDGE workshop on Voter and Civic Education and BRIDGE workshop which will contribute to the capacity building of IEC staff. The workshop will be held at Maseru for IEC field staff responsible for provision of civic and voter education in the 10 districts of Lesotho.
